Handling Conflict in a daycare setting:

It is always good to have your childcare center's handbook easily accessible. You may have a situation with a parent bringing an item to the center that is not allowed and having the handbook to show proof of the policies is vital to making sure all parties are on the same page and understand the rules and the purpose of them.
In any situation at the center whether is because of a teacher or parent the handbook help to keep everyone safe and on the same page. Also explain to them why the policy don't make them feel stupid like they should have already have known. People are busy and when they buy cupcakes with nuts at a nut free facility they are not doing that on purpose they just may like that cupcake and are not thinking about all the policy's. Or a teacher that wants a schedule change just to get off early just explain to the m you will try to work with their new schedule but the center hired them to work later hours so they may not be able to accommodate the new schedule but would try.
Communication is key in a daycare not only to parents and teachers but also for the children. You are with children most of the day and most of the time the entire week. Speaking to them in a soft and understanding tone lets them know they are safe and then they will feel secure making everyone happy. Make sure everyone is one the same page keep parents and teachers notified of any new changes and keep a positive attitude. That makes you a happy environment and keeps conflict away!
